SJX’s team led by President Steve Stajkowski has revolutionized the industry with an engineering and production process designed to insure that each and every boat is built to exact precision tolerance and to the highest quality available on the market today.  Since 1998 Steve has been instrumental in the original design and R&D testing of this unique tunnel hull jet boat.  He has logged thousands of hours boating all over the globe. Mercury Marine provides the strong, efficient power plants for the SJX’s tunnel hull jet boats.Mercury Marine has given SJX Jet Boats, the highest Platinum boat builder status for quality, plus SJX is Mercury’s #1 SportJet purchasing boat manufacture in the world.  The Most Popular model is the SJX 2170 Black-Ice with a Mercury 200 Optimax SportJet. This model is the most sought after jet boat in “and out” of the water.

So what makes all SJX Jet Boats a step above the competition? One of the most noticeable things about SJX boats are the “exclusive”features and components that are incorporated into each hull as “standard equipment”.

Here are a few examples of what SJX does to incorporate new features into every boat. We designed eight NEW exclusive extrusions, designed and produced by SJX and only used by SJX.  All interior surfaces and parts are coated with Full Metal Jacket Bed-Liner coating (SJX is the only boat manufacturer to use this high quality bed-liner material).  Not only are all the walking surfaces covered with this durable, slip resistant coating but every component of the interior is coated with FMJ.  Not only is the FMJ used for its tremendous durability, but is also used as a very effective way to dampen the noise caused by the engine, water, and aluminum components.  The results are a much quieter, comfortable, and more durable boat.

In addition the entire sub-floor structure has ZERO skip welding (skip welding is a cost saving process very typical of most other welded aluminum boats in the industry). All the floor stringers, hull stiffeners, box runners, etc. are full length-constant welds. This is an expensive, labor intensive production process that ensures every boat is built to our highest standards and gives you that extra strength were its needed. And all of that comes as standard equipment in every SJX boat sold.

Another popular feature for the real “hardcore” boaters is the optional Black-Ice upgrade (Full Bottom Protection offered by SJX). This total bottom protection is a whopping 103 sq feet of coverage, 3/8 inch thick UHMW protection and is also 100% BONDED (NOT attached with just fasteners). This Black-Ice Bottom not only covers the entire bottom impact areas, but also protects the entire chine with 3 inches of side protection as well.  There are no seams in the UHMW near the bottom extrusions; this is where hydraulics could jeopardize welded or riveted on caps that some other manufacturers use.  There are dozens more innovative high quality features available on each SJX jet boat, and are always included as standard equipment.  (Contact SJX Jet Boats Inc. for a list of standard features, upgrades, and comparisons to other jet boats, as well as a free SJX DVD. For Military and Government applications SJX Jet Boats have been working closely with the US Army as well several friendly foreign governments aimed at fighting the war on drugs & terrorists, and the protection of US interests. We certainly have a lot to be proud of.
